NuFlex 454 Multi-Purpose Construction Adhesive

NuFlex 454 Multi-Purpose Construction Adhesive is a versatile; professional-strength adhesive specifically designed for use on most construction materials. It is ideal for wood, panelling, drywall, ceramic tile, metal foamboard and tub surrounds. It is also effective for installing foam insulation and panels to drywall, furring masonry and other substrates. Ideal for interior and exterior applications. NuFlex 454 Multi-Purpose provides excellent water-resistance and works extremely well in colder temperatures. It also offers a 30 minute working time to allow precise placement of materials. NuFlex 454 Multi-Purpose is twice as strong as other adhesives in its class.

FEATURES AND TYPICAL USES:
Works extremely well in colder temperature Ideal for wood panelling, polystyrene and urethane foams, drywall, metal, concrete ceramic tile, hardboard, tub surrounds and other construction materials.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION :
Working Surfaces: Surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry and free from excessive oil, grease, water, dirt or any other material that may deter adhesion. Apply NuFlex 454 Multi-Purpose Construction Adhesive to only one of the surfaces to be bonded. Apply mastic to panel perimeters and on 16-inch centres or a criss-cross pattern to ensure maximum adhesion. Temporary bracing or nailing may be needed to improve contact until adhesive dries. Allow to cure overnight for maximum strength. Clean-up: Scrape off dried excess with putty knife. Remove residue with mineral spirits or equivalent solvent. Follow solvent vendor’s precautions when using solvents. Note: Test solvent on an out-of-the-way area to make sure it will not mark or attack the surface. Limitations: NuFlex 454 Multi-Purpose Construction Adhesive is not designed for continuous submersion. Do not apply to polystyrene foam if temperature is 90°F or greater. Do not apply over wallpaper. Do not use on plywood subfloors.

CAUTIONS:
DANGER: EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE VAPOUR HARMFUL. Contains hexane. Do not use near heat, sparks or flame. Use only with positive cross ventilation. Avoid breathing vapours. Do not swallow. Do not allow eye contact or prolonged skin contact. Uncured product can cause eye or skin irritation. First Aid: If dizziness or other adverse effects are experienced, move to fresh air; contact physician if discomfort persists. If swallowed do not induce vomiting, contact a physician immediately. Wash skin contact areas with soap and water; contact physician if irritation persists. Prolonged or repeated overexposure to solvents in uncured product can cause central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, eye, skin or respiratory system effects. Exceeds the performance requirements of the ASTM C557 specifications.

PACKAGING AND COLOURS:
NuFlex 454 Multi-Purpose Construction Adhesive is available in a variety of sizes 311 ml (10.5 U.S. fl oz), 858 ml (29 U.S. fl oz) cardboard caulking cartridges with nozzle which fit manual or air operated caulking guns, (12 cartridges to a case). NuFlex 454 Multi-Purpose Construction Adhesive is available in tan colour only. SHELF-LIFE AND STORAGE:
Shelf-life is 12 months from date of shipment from our plant when stored in clean, dry area with temperature between 40°F to 90°F (4°C to 32°C).
